I bought this book for a three-day excursion to Lassen Volcanic National Park. In combination with the Wilderness Press map of the park, as well as the park's website, the trip was a great success. This book was key for providing advice for hiking the Mt. Lassen Peak Trail, as well as tips on the region/5(13). Used this book + Official Lassen Park Map to explore the many fascinating adventures available at Lassen Volcanic Park. IMO Must-Do's are Lassen Peak (hr RT) and Bumpass Hell (hr RT). Really enjoyed backpacking, hiking and camping in the remote areas of Lassen National Park.**Sidenote; IMO Burney Falls is also a must see!/5(7).   Lassen Volcanic National Park was one of those ones that were not on our bucket list.
